AdvancED’s eleot™ wins Tech & Learning’s “2015 ISTE Best of Show” Award

Learner-centric observation tool recognized as a game changer in education technology

ALPHARETTA, GA.—July 2, 2015— AdvancED’s eleot™— Effective Learning Environments Observation Tool™— was named a winner of Tech & Learning’s “ISTE 2015 Best of Show” Award at the 2015 International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Show. The tool was recognized based on its quality and effectiveness, ease of use, creative use of technology and its ability to have the most impact in the classroom.

This is the second year in which Tech & Learning has presented its prestigious award that honors outstanding products at ISTE. Winners were selected by panels of professional users and editors as well as by an anonymous panel of educator judges who closely observed the exhibit hall throughout the three-day educational technology conference in Philadelphia.

“We are thrilled to have eleot recognized at ISTE. The app is a powerful tool when in the hands of educators, and we have consistently received feedback on the effectiveness it has had in schools and school systems around the globe,” says Dr. Mark Elgart, President and CEO of AdvancED. “This recognition is yet another affirmation of our commitment to the continuous improvement process through new, innovative and, most importantly, accessible technology.”

Available to schools as an app for Apple iOS, Android and desktop computers, eleot helps schools and school systems measure and quantify active student engagement. The tool provides an aggregate picture for an entire school and can deliver useful information to teachers about their strengths and weaknesses.

AdvancED’s eleot will be featured in the August issue of Tech & Learning as well as in the digital version of the Best of Show Program Guide delivered to readers of AV Technology and Tech & Learning after the ISTE 2015 conference.
