The 113th NCA CASI Annual Conference, hosting more than 1,000 educators March 16-18, 2008, in Chicago, IL, concluded with success. This success ends an era of NCA CASI annual conferences, but will contribute to the future as NCA CASI and SACS CASI come together in 2009 to host the first AdvancED Conference.

Participants enjoyed more than 100 concurrent sessions, including training, job-alike, and best practice topics. Keynote speaker and classroom teacher, Rafe Esquith, provided a powerful opening to the conference as he showcased students from his classroom who performed vignettes from various Shakespeare plays for the audience. Dr. Douglas Reeves helped conclude the conference with his insights on "Leadership at Every Level."
