Welcome
Welcome to the Texas State Office Web site of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI). SACS CASI is an accreditation division of AdvancED, which was formed in April 2006 through the unification of SACS CASI, the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the National Study of School Evaluation (NSSE).
AdvancED is the largest educational community in the world representing more than 23,000 public and private schools, 6,000 school districts and 15 million students in 30 states and 65 countries. Through these new connections and partnerships, Texas SACS CASI has increased its resources and tools available to the public and non-public schools in our state.
To move forward in today's society, the connections school leaders make are critical to achieving the recognition and successes all educational leaders need to improve the quality of their schools and their support from stakeholders including parents, members of the community, businesses, school boards, students, and teachers. Through SACS CASI accreditation, schools are instantly connected to other schools, other educators, best practices, research, resources, training, and tools that are all directed to improving the quality of schools and school districts. By meeting the standards of accreditation that are recognized both nationally and throughout the world, educational leaders can assure the quality of their schools and school districts to all their stakeholders.
Thank you for visiting our Web site and for your interest in learning more about how you can "get connected" and become part of a learning community that is advancing excellence in education worldwide. Please contact the Texas Office if you have any questions or comments.
