Our research-based accreditation process is designed to stimulate school improvement through fulfillment of standards and self-evaluation. To be accredited, schools and school systems must meet high standards, engage in continuous improvement and demonstrate quality assurance. This approach provides schools and school systems with the opportunity to analyze their strengths and weaknesses, predict future needs, and plan improvements to serve students more effectively.
Accreditation by SACS CASI is a symbol of a school's or school system's commitment to excellence. Louisiana SACS CASI is committed to assisting public and nonpublic elementary, middle and secondary schools and school systems in Louisiana achieve accreditation as we work together to provide quality education for all students.
News Louisiana Training Conferences Set for August
Louisiana SACS CASI will host training conferences for schools scheduled to host Quality Assurance Review Teams in 2010-11 and 2011-2012. Others interested in attending one of the conferences should contact Elizabeth Lowery at elowery@sacscasi.org
Louisiana SACS CASI District Accredited Systems
Sixteen of our Louisiana SACS CASI school systems have had the distinction of achieving SACS CASI District Accreditation. St. Tammany, St. Charles, Lafayette, Rapides, Ouachita, Winn, Ascension, St. Bernard, Zachary Community Systems, Vernon, West Feliciana, Calcasieu, Jefferson Davis, Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, East Baton Rouge, and Jefferson have met the stringent requirements and are recognized as SACS CASI District Accredited Systems. Other districts seeking District Accreditation include Bossier, Plaquemines, the Diocese of Baton Rouge, and Lincoln. Thank you for visiting our Web site.
