Kentucky SACS CASI offers the following resources and information for those involved in the accreditation process:
UK Announces the Kentucky P-20 Innovation Lab: the Next Generation of Learning Video
- Under the leadership of Dean Mary John O'Hair, the University of Kentucky College of Education is partnering with Kentucky schools, businesses, community leaders, higher education, industry and government to transform classrooms to engage learners at an early age and create a pipeline of students well-prepared to go to college and obtain careers matching their skills and interests. The official launch announcement of "Kentucky P20 Innovation Lab: A Partnership for Next Generation Learning" took place in Frankfort, Ky., on Tuesday, February 2, 2010. Addressing those the media and guests on hand were UK President Lee T. Todd Jr.; UK College of Education Dean Mary John O'Hair; Terry Holliday, commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Education; Bob King, president of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education; and Phillip Rogers, executive director of the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board. University of Kentucky College of Education - Kentucky P-20 Innovation Lab Webinar Features:
- An overview and introduction to the Kentucky P-20 Innovation Lab by Dr. Justin Bathon, University of Kentucky (UK). He discusses initiatives at UK to implement Senate Bill 1 and align our state educational system P-20.
- A follow-up presentation based on a 2009 Keynote Address at the SACS/AdvancED Kentucky School Improvement Conference by Dr. Scott McLeod, Iowa State University. Dr. McLeod discusses technological changes that impact our economy and the need to better align our educational system to prepare our children for their future.
