Welcome It is a pleasure to have you visit the Web site of the American-International Schools. Whether you are currently a member of our accredited school community, part of a school community interested in candidacy, or simply a curious visitor, we are very pleased to welcome you. You have visited us during an exciting time, and it might be helpful to give you a quick overview of who we are and how we fit into AdvancED, a worldwide community dedicated to advancing excellence in education worldwide through accreditation, research, and professional services.
You may already know of AdvancED and have come to this Web site through the AdvancED home page, or you may have begun your visit with an interest in the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI) or the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), our accreditation divisions of AdvancED. It also is possible that you began your research and/or interest with CITA, the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation, which recently was incorporated into our family of schools. All of our international CITA schools now are accredited by either SACS CASI or NCA CASI.
Currently, our International Services Office accredits almost 500 schools in 65 nations around the world. These schools adhere to the very same quality standards as applied to our 27,000 (and growing) public and non-public schools located within the continental United States. These schools are supported by our corporate offices in Atlanta, Georgia and Tempe, Arizona along with thirty state offices located throughout the country. Our international schools also are supported by our Atlanta and Tempe Headquarters, in concert with our international regional offices located in Cairo, Egypt and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
On the following pages you will have an opportunity to learn about the people and schools who seek international school excellence through accreditation. You also will find useful information and tools designed to assist you in the accreditation process. Please contact us at the Office of International Services if we can assist you in any way.
