    Indiana NCA CASI offers workshops and conferences that focus on helping accredited schools and districts advance their continuous improvement efforts and prepare for accreditation. Certification Renewal Units (CRUs) are available for all Indiana NCA CASI professional development activities. Graduate credit from Indiana State University is available to those attending conferences, Quality Assurance Review chair training sessions, or to those who serve as the chair or co-chair of their school's improvement committee.

    How can accreditation change your school? Learn about the seven research-based AdvancED standards and what meeting them can mean for schools and the children they serve. Through various activities, participants will explore these standards in depth as well as learn about the other two pillars of accreditation - continuous improvement and quality assurance - and how this aligns with P.L. 221, Rtl and NCLB.

    Standard 4: What's It For
    • March 17, 2010, 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., New Castle Chrysler High School, 801 Parkview Drive, New Castle
    The Documenting and Using Results standard states you must have a comprehensive assessment system. What does this really mean? How do you collect, mine, analyze, communicate, and use relevant data? This workshop will help you understand how to meet this standard.

    WEBINARS
    This year, the Indiana NCA will offer webinars over selected topics. These webinars will last 60-75 minutes and may involve as many people at your site as you wish. The informational webinars (Introduction to District Accreditation, KEYS Online, Indiana Department of Education Update) are free, and the Improvement Series Webinars (School Improvement Planning, Translating the School Improvement Plan to the Classroom, Monitoring Progress, Effective Professional Development, Systemic Improvement) are $25 per site (all five webinars for $100). A blog site will also be created for the Improvement Series Webinars so that participants can continue to learn and exchange ideas long after the webinar is over. All you need is a computer and telephone (with speaker capabilities if more than one person will be attending). You must register at least five days in advance.
