Welcome A Message from the Staff of the Georgia Office The staff of the Georgia Office would like to welcome you to the Georgia Web Site of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI). We appreciate the interest of all stakeholders - administrators, staff, students, parents, and community members - in broadening your awareness of SACS CASI, an accreditation division of AdvancED.
The Georgia Office of AdvancED and SACS CASI administers the accreditation activities of the nearly 2,200 schools in our state that are accredited with this agency. In addition, accreditation services are extended to more than 60 other schools that are official candidates to become accredited.
Our accreditation activities focus on developing and maintaining a continuous approach to school improvement and quality assurance. To our accredited schools we provide technical assistance, professional development, and staffing for quality assurance reviews. A visit to this Web site or a telephone call to our office is all it takes to gain access to professional assistance, useful resources and helpful tools for our fellow educators.

Mike Bryans, Jay Wansley, Elizabeth Law AdvancED recently lost a long time volunteer, H. F. Johnson, Jr., who passed away on March 11. Mr. Johnson had been involved with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI) for more than 20 years.
