    Welcome to the Alabama State Office Web site of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI). SACS CASI is an accreditation division of AdvancED. Learn more about AdvancED.
    Alabama SACS CASI proudly accredits more than 1,400 public and nonpublic elementary, middle, secondary, and unit schools in the state.
    Alabama SACS CASI is dedicated to:
    • Helping schools improve student performance.
    • Ensuring that schools meet AdvancED standards.
    • Providing knowledgeable assistance, as requested.
    • Having Council Members who support the belief that the highest standards of education in the State of Alabama can be attained through accreditation in SACS CASI, the only accrediting agency recognized by the State Department of Education.
